Private by design

Your archive stays local unless you choose otherwise.

Receipt records are stored in private app storage on your device. No Downgate Labs account is required. Google sign-in is requested only if you turn on backup to your own Google Drive.

Opt-in AI scanning

After one-time consent, only receipts you choose to scan are sent through Firebase AI Logic to Gemini. Results are probabilistic, include a confidence score, and should be reviewed before saving.

Backup you control

Backups are available on every tier and place images plus the vault data file in your own Drive. It is an app-triggered backup—not continuous background synchronization.

No provider connection

What is the HSA shoebox strategy?

What information does the receipt scanner extract?

The AI-assisted scanner extracts the provider, expense date, and amount. You can review the information before saving the receipt.

Can I enter everything manually?

Yes. AI scanning is optional. Receipt creation, editing, organization, backup, and export all have manual workflows.

Where are my records and backups stored?

Records are stored privately on your Android device. If you enable backup, images and vault data are copied to an app folder in your personal Google Drive rather than to Downgate Labs servers.

Can I export my receipts?

Yes. Select records and export a batch as CSV data or as a full PDF that includes receipt details and images.

What does HSA Hoard cost?

Your first 10 lifetime receipts and 10 AI scan credits are free. Vault Unlock is a one-time purchase that removes the receipt limit and adds 20 AI credits. AI Assistant is a monthly subscription for unlimited AI scanning. Google Play shows current local prices.

Does deleting a receipt free one of the 10 free slots?

No. The free allowance counts receipts saved over the lifetime of the install, not the number currently in the vault.

Does HSA Hoard connect to my HSA provider?

No. It is an independent recordkeeping tool and does not connect to a custodian, bank, brokerage, insurer, or healthcare provider.

Is the growth projection a forecast?

No. It applies an annual return and end year you choose to the unreimbursed total. It does not know your HSA balance, holdings, or returns and is not investment advice.
